I stand behind it all the way!
In obedience to God's word I have been praying especially for our leaders (Pres. Obama) and for Israel of course. My heart has been broken and I intercede almost daily in tears for our president. Because of this I find it difficult to be critical of him even though I do not agree with everything he says or does.I find that when I have been praying for someone only sweet water comes out of my fountain when I speak of them. As Christians we must avoid the political trap and not allow our cistern to be polluted with bitter water. I venture to say that those most critical of President Obama are those who rarely if ever spend any time praying for him.Sweet Paula Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00673581798389777431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5514028080956460094.post-3268191450627857992012-06-17T13:27:31.061-04:002012-06-17T13:27:31.061-04:00Absolutely, Rachel. Maybe your dad or stepdad failed you miserably and you decided to write him off as a loser. This Father.s Day choose to pray for him instead and forgive him for failing you. It's hard to hold a grudge against someone and pray for him at the same time. Allow the Heavenly Father, Jehovah Raffa, to heal you of all the negative effects of unmet expectations and unfulfilled dreams. Choose to embrace any positive memories you have of him and realize that God allowed thay man in your life for a reason! Life is a gift from God and He has a plan for yours!

The fsther you have was not by accident. Without him you would not exist. It was so peaceful - till the kids came in the room and I found "someone" hollering back at them "HEY! I'm trying to SOAK here! Go out!" :( Hmmm . . . . I think I needed more than just a slight soaking to help me not respond like that. :)
It's easy to be busy with taking care of kids and family and neglect ourselves. I remember though, when one of my sons was in preschool - on a Mother's Day card he had filled in the blank - "My mom's favorite thing to do is _____" . . . "BE ALONE!" :) His teacher just laughed as she knew I had 4 little kids running around the house!

Blessings!Lori@Mothering Mattershttp://mothering-matters.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5514028080956460094.post-36859143178844644892012-02-13T15:12:23.612-05:002012-02-13T15:12:23.612-05:00Great thoughts! That only happens when we spend intimate, consistent quality time with Him. Life consists of peeks & valleys. Even during peak times, our mountaintop experiences, we must stay close to Him. It becomes second nature & our default place. Thanks for that important reminder!everpegnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5514028080956460094.post-22968749028346138112011-12-24T10:17:53.900-05:002011-12-24T10:17:53.900-05:00Thank you! There's a song by Sara Groves called "Hello Lord." In it she says, (paraphrasing), Hello Lord it's me your child and I've got a few things on my mind...she continues on and then she says "I just can't hear you," but then she says that she thinks God is whispering.

Point is, she figures out that God is not whispering, she's just not listening.
